Parents' Support Groups, Training & Workshops
Cities like London have a wonderful fusion of cultural mixtures, but this in part can be responsible for social isolation, segregation and separation. My aim is to encourage parents to see similarities, rather than differences. Our workshops are often in association with other organisations, or local schools, and focus on empowering parents to use their natural skills to support their children in the home environment, enabling confidence, and opening parents up to a life as part of their community. Resources, Visual Support, Play Ideas, Tips, Learning Materials...
I believe that children with Autism prefer to use a visual channel of communication, and in principle, all of our materials are concentrated around using images in one form or the other. Most of our resources are Free, but for some we may charge a bit to raise money for making new materials. I hope you can support us in this.
Over the years I have collected many resources available on and off-line, and have made many for my son. I am happy that i can now share them with anyone who wants to use them. All of the materials have been used at some point with my boy, children I have had the opportunity to work with, and our members in different parts of the world. See more...

'Hi Alessandra,
I just want to say yet again what a fabulous magazine. Your stuff is some of the best we receive and I always print it out and put it in our waiting room as well as encouraging my team to read it.
Very well done and I love the communication article in this issue – very dear to our heart here.'

I have always looked at the bigger picture, and I believe that once you are a mother you can empathise with mothers of all children. I am confident that Parent Participation works, and I would like to inspire and empower parents to believe that they can also take things in their own hands to make a difference. Sometimes this involves sending a petition to your local MP, sometimes completing surveys, and other days going on SKY TV to confront the world and tell your story.
With so much that is changing in policy-making and funding cuts... more than ever I encourage parents to participate Read more

I Love Someone with Autism
What a nice way to start a conversation with someone and tell them a little about Autism. I am a great believer in Autism Awareness and I feel that the more people know about the true face of Autism (not the Rain Man version), the more inclusive this world will be for our children. If you'd like to take part all you have to do is order a Button Badge and wear it when out and about. Order...
